Donate Medicine and Supplies

 

Oftentimes we are not able to raise sufficient funds to purchase the medicine and other items necessary for our medical missions. Consequently, we rely heavily on the generosity of people for donated medicines, equipments, and supplies to be able to carryout our medical missions. Rest assured that your donated gifts go a long way; our services are FREE to patients, and we distribute donated items where there is a demonstrated need. In fact, all the funds collected go directly towards the expenses of our missions and sponsorship programs. The more medicines we have the more patients we are able to serve.

OID has specific needs for the items that we request base on the population and regions we serve. It is important to check with us for a list of current needs. We ask that medicine be unexpired and sealed, and all equipments and supplies be of good quality, functional, new or slightly used and in good working condition. Kindly see below for our current list of urgent needs.

Medicine and Vitamins: Antibiotics; Painkillers; Anti-inflammatory and Anti- hypertensive agents; Analgesics; Skin-rash creams; Inhaler/allergy medications; Diabetic medications

Medical Supplies & Equipments: Portable EKG machines; Portable Defibrillators, Pulse Oximeters; Portable Ultrasound machines; Cardio-respiratory monitors; Glucometers & Blood Pressure machines

Dental Supplies & Equipment: Portable Dental chairs, and Portable X-Ray units Rehabilitative Supplies: Wheelchairs; Walkers; Crutches & Canes

Pediatric Equipment & Supplies: Isolates; Cribs; Infant Seats; Diapers; Playpens; Infant Formula

Educational Equipment: Computers & Printers; Copy Machine; VCR/TV; Fax Machine

Miscellaneous Items: School Supplies; new Clothing for children, women and men; Frequent Flyer Miles to travel to Africa and Jamaica via Air Jamaica, Ghana Airlines, Swiss Air and Shipping Opportunities.

Please call our office at (347) 449-5515 to verify that we can use your donation. Items should be sorted and boxed/bagged in separate containers.
