We want to thank you for a very successful mission.

I have not received the full report but I know you have gone about Haiti doing good and for this we at Grace International are so thankful! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all the mouths and teeth better off today than ever. Thank you for all the bodies healed. We are very grateful for your wonderful team and all the sacrifices that you made to make this a successful trip.

Truly you have changed lives and left Haiti and its people grateful for your healing touches and love.

Haiti Mission

 

OID will be returning to Haiti on March 25-30, 2013 to provide humanitarian services to the tent city community at Grace Village, in the Carrefour and Lamentin districts of Port-au-Prince.

 

Interested persons are asked to contact Dr. Roy Streete at DENTISTROYST@aol.com or Dr. Marcia Jones at merisaj@hotmail.com as soon as possible, but no later than Jan 15, 2012. Volunteers will participate in community assessments, medical and dental health promotion and preventative services, rehabilitation support and educational support and deliver of much needed medical and educational supplies.

You will need the following:


  • Travel ID: Valid Passport
  • Vaccines recommended: Tetanus, Hep A & B, Typhoid and Malaria

Assignments: Registration, counting meds, routing patients, counseling, direct patient care, security etc. Note: You do not need to be healthcare personnel to be part of the team. Creole speaking individuals especially needed.

 


Tentative Schedule


  • March 25 – Leave JFK @ 8am -arrive in Port-au-Prince, Haiti at approximately 12 noon)
  • March 26-March 28 work full day at tent villages(9a-4pm)
  • March 29 ( Good Friday) attend church or a cultural immersion activity / final packing and wrap up.
  • March 30- Return to New York via an afternoon flight.
